This is day dedicated to not wearing shoes so that we understand how in developing countries, most people live without shoes. Toms shoes are the people that founded this project, because for every shoe you buy of theirs, they give one pair away to people who need it.
I should have told you guys yesterday but i only found out today (:
I finally saw Alice in Wonderland today! I gotta say, it is really well made! And i adore the Mad Hatter! 1 more thing- the cheshire cat is really quite impressive (:
My Favorite Mad Hatter Quotes:
"There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter.
-Which luckily I am. "
The Mad Hatter
"The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad?
Alice: I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret- All the best people are."
If you feel up to it, I'm putting up the first ever film version made of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland- it's a silent movie from 1903- ancient I know (;
Made just 37 years after Lewis Carroll wrote his novel and eight years after the birth of cinema, the adaptation was directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow, and was based on Sir John Tenniel's original illustrations.
With a running time of just 12 minutes (8 of which survived), Alice in Wonderland was the longest film produced in England at that time. Film archivists have been able to restore the film's original colours for the first time in over 100 years.
Here it is guys:
Right well, i think i've given you enough quotes for one day (:
So, i want to hear all the best pranks you did, any funny stories? (;
Seeing as I'm back from Rome, expect some beautiful pics of a beautiful City soon.
Oh and because i missed Music Monday, i'm going to embed the free tracks for ya :D
And in the spirit of Easter, here are some Easter pictures!
I came by this store somewhere in Austria when i was on holiday back in the summer of 09, it's weird that this was filled with eggs considering that it wasn't even easter season! But hey, I'm not one to complain, it was a beautiful display.
Epitome of easter (;
Happy Easter!
If he said it- it's gotta be true, eh?
